- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Heat a pan on medium and add butter to melt.
- Quickly dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture for about 5 to 10 seconds on each side.
Cooking
- Place the dipped bread into the pan and cook until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Once cooked, transfer the slices to a warm plate and drizzle with honey while still warm.
Notes
To keep the toast warm while cooking, use a low oven (about 200°F or 95°C) or cover with foil loosely. For added flavor, consider mixing in a little orange zest into the egg mixture.
